Welcome back to term 2!

Learning and Teaching

In year 1/2 We Are Learning To....

READING: summarise parts of the story to help us understand the text.

WRITING: write a narrative using the correct structure. 

MATHS: represent and solve simple subtraction problems using a range of mental and written strategies.

INQUIRY: explore how objects move on land, through water and in the air and explore how different strengths of push and pull can affect movement of objects. 

Important Notices

• Don't forget to return your permission slip as soon as possible for our excursion to Scienceworks on Thursday 7th of May.

• HELPERS WANTED for PMP!!! If you are free on Tuesdays we would love for you to come in and help out at PMP. With more helpers we are able to do more complex activities. If you are able to help at any stage please let your class teacher know, the more the merrier!

Tuesdays:
1/2U: 9am-9:30am

2R: 9:30am - 10am

2O: 10am - 10:30am

1O: 11:10am - 11:45am

1B: 12:15pm - 12:45pm

Making News

Year 1&2 students with the ANZAC tribute

Last week the grade 1 and 2 students made poppies in support of the 5000 Poppies challenge which is an exciting and ambitious nationwide community tribute of respect and remembrance. We used our poppies to create an ANZAC sign out the front of our school for the whole community to see.
