CONNECT WITH THE JUNIOR SCHOOL

Welcome back to all our Mentone Park families! We have had a wonderful start to 2018, enjoying Tri-Skills, Kids Connect activities, visits from St Kilda players and much more. Our students have settled in well to their new class groups and we wish to extend a warm welcome to our new students, their families and staff members in the Junior School.

Our SMART Spelling program has commenced and new words will be sent home every Monday, to be handed in on Friday morning. This is a chance for your children to 'Look, Cover, Write, Check' their words and start to expand their vocabulary as well as their spelling ability. Take home journals and books were sent home last week - please ensure that your child is able to read out aloud every night and that they record what they have read.

Contacting your child's teacher: please download the FlexiBuzz app and sign in to your child's class to ensure that you are receiving all relevant updates. Using the chat function on the app is a great way to connect with the teacher but if the matter is urgent, please phone the office as we are not always able to receive or act on messages during the day.
