Junior School Newsletter, Term 3 - Week 3

Term 3, Week 3
Welcome Back! It has been a very busy fortnight in the Junior School settling back into the routines of the classroom. Our Performing Arts sessions - which are being run by STOMP this year - started on day one, and already we have some wonderful dances taking shape for the school production in September. The F-2 Zoo Excursion on Friday was a wonderful experience, and we were so lucky with the weather! Thank you so much to our parent helpers, we couldn't have done it without you and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. We are looking forward to another exciting term and look forward to seeing many of you around the school in the next few weeks at our many events - especially trivia - don't forget to book your table!

Tuesday August 14 - Silly Scientist In-Visit
Saturday August 18 - Trivia Night
Monday August 20 - Book Week Fair
Wednesday August 29 - Father's Day Breakfast
Friday August 31 - CraftPower In-Visit

In READING this fortnight, we have been learning to visualise what we are reading to support our understanding and comprehension of a text.

During WRITING this fortnight, we have been focusing on holiday recounts and exciting narratives.

Our latest topic in MATHS has been Money. We are enjoying learning about Australian Currency and how it is used.

This fortnight we continued our INQUIRY topic, Living Things. We enjoyed the Zoo excursion and have been focusing on the features of living things.

If you would like to volunteer in the classroom, please ensure the office has a copy of your Working With Children Check.
